Russian presidential envoy to approve development program of Abkhazia

 Alexander Khloponin, Russian Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the NCFD, will visit Abkhazia today and observe facilities restored under Russian financial assistance in Sukhumi.Khloponin will meet Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab and discuss socio-economic relations. An investment program for socio-economic development of the republic for 2013-2015 is expected to be passed.The Abkhaz Ministry for Finances and the Russian Ministry for Regional Development will sign an agreement on financial assistance for realization of the investment program.

 Russian Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Alexander Khloponin said that there were rare cases of cheats during the Unified State Exam in the North Caucasus on May 27, RIA Novosti reports.Some people were caught posting exam papers on the Internet, but the exams were still held with few violations.The North Caucasus education system has little difference from the one in any other part of Russia, Khloponin goes on.

Aleksandr Khloponin takes personal control of investigation into terrorist attack in Makhachkala

Alexander Khloponin, the President's  Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District,  took the investigation into the two explosions in Makhachkala under his personal control, RIA News reports."Operative-investigative activities are in process, all information goes directly to the envoy, he is continuing to monitor the investigation," Natalia Platonova, Khloponin's press-secretary, told RIA News. According to information as of 18:00 MSK, an explosion killed three and injured 44 people, including one child. About half of the victims are police officers.
