Zorba balloon owner says it was stolen

Montay Imanov, owner of the zorb balloon that crashed killing two tourists, said that the balloon had been purchased in 2009 for the Southern Hospitability project of British American Tobacco in 2009, Izvestia reports.

Imanov said that the balloon was stolen by armed assailants of Kail Isakov, the coach of the national snowboarding team of Karachay-Cherkessia. Isakov denies accusations and plans a lawsuit against the businessman.

Organizer of the balloon flight 25-year-old Ravil Chekkunov was detained for questioning. He said that the balloon was purchased for personal use.
