Georgian minister for environment inspects dams



Georgian Minister for Environment Khatuna Gogaladze, Deputy Minister Nino Sharashidze and ministerial officials have visited Larsi Dam, Daryal Dam and the construction site of the Kazbegi Dam at the Kazbegi District, Trend reports.

The Kazbegi Dam project was introduced to the ministry on February 6, 2013. The dam will be built on the Broli River in the Khala Valley with an output of 6 MW.

After a professional expertise, the minister will meet locals to ask them about their opinion about the dam construction. Georgian Deputy Minister for Energy Ilya Eloshvili and NGO officials will attend the talks.
