Allahshukur Pashazade wishes Adhan to sound in Nagorno-Karabakh
Chairman of the Clerical Office of Caucasus Muslims Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Taza Pir Mosque in Baku on the occasion of the Ramadan holiday.
He said that it's a great joy that Adhan sounded on the Azerbaijani lands liberated from the Armenian occupation for the first time in the month of Ramadan.
"The beautiful mosque built in the Jojug Marjanli village gives us hope that our lands will soon be liberated,” Pashazade said. He also wished Azerbaijan's lands to be liberated and Adhan to sound in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We are glad that today there is unity in Azerbaijan," he noted.
The increase in the number of mosques in Azerbaijan is a gratifying fact: in the period of the former USSR there were only 17 mosques in Azerbaijan, and today their number exceeds 2000, Allahshukur Pashazade stressed.
