The famous Russian ballet dancer, national actress of Karachayevo-Cherkessia, People's Artist of North Ossetia-Alania, Anastasia Volochkova, told Vestnik Kavkaza about how she visited Azerbaijan on the eve of the first European Games in Baku and how she was amazed by the transformation of the capital.

"I was in Baku before the Games, and I can say that I was impressed by the fact that the city has transformed into something completely unusual, so to speak, into a whole empire. Before that, I was in Baku a long time ago. And I was very pleased to see this difference between the past city and this city," Volochkova stressed.

According to her, positive changes in Baku touched on architecture, infrastructure, service quality, and places of recreation. "Really it was nice to find out how things have changed," the ballet dancer noted.

According to her, many links connect her to the Azerbaijani capital. "My partner on stage Rinat Arifulin was born in Baku, my ex-boyfriend is from Baku, I am also very friendly with Emin Agalarov, who is also a Bakuvian. Very hospitable and very good people live in Baku," Anastasia Volochkova said.

"I got the desire, the idea to come to Baku with a charity concert for Azerbaijani children with the participation of talented children of Azerbaijan. As I recall, in November, I am already going to a concert in Baku," she added.
