Armenia investigates death of former Security Chief
Acting director of Armenia’s National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan expressed condolences over the death of the former head of the department, Georgi Kutoyan, noting that the law enforcement officers will determine the causes of the incident, the press service of the NSS reports.
Earlier, a spokeswoman of the Investigative Committee, Naira Harutyunyan, reported that Kutoyan’s body was found on January 17, in an apartment in Yerevan. Arthur Melikyan, a high-ranking Investigative Committee official, told reporters that a criminal case had been opened under the article ‘incitement to suicide’. However, the version of the murder is also being considered, RIA Novosti reports.
