Armenian president accepts government’s resignation
Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan accepted the Cabinet’s resignation, the presidential press office said.
The government officials are instructed to perform their duties until a new Cabinet is formed, ARKA reported.
The new-elected Armenian National Assembly opened its first session today.
Under the constitution, the country’s government stepped down today. The new prime minister will be appointed within 10 days after the cabinet’s resignation. The new government must be formed within 20 days.
