Austrian pianist to perform in Georgia
Tbilisi will host concerts of famous Austrian pianist of Georgian origin Elisabeth Leonskaja on March 21.
The pianist will perform on the stage of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Paliashvili. The concert will be accompanied by the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nikoloz Rachveli.
On March 22 Leonskaya will perform on the stage of the State Drama Theater named after Shota Rustaveli, Sputnik Georgia reports.
Elizabeth Ilinichna Leonskaya was born in Tbilisi. At 11 she gave her orchestral debut, at 13 her first solo recital.
She left the Soviet Union in 1978 and resided in Vienna.
