Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry welcomes OSCE MG statement on Karabakh talks
Today, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Leyla Abdullayeva welcomed the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group in support of plans for direct talks between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“There were proposals from the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in connection with the meeting of the Azerbaijani President with the Prime Minister of Armenia. We would like to note that Azerbaijan is committed to the negotiation process and is always ready for substantive negotiations. Azerbaijan supports the efforts of the co-chairs to resolve the conflict through result-oriented and intensive negotiations, ”she said, recalling that Ilham Aliyev had three informal meetings with Pashinyan, and the two foreign ministers already held four meetings.
