Baku hosts 5th Azerbaijan-Russia Youth Forum
The 5th Azerbaijani-Russian youth forum titled 'New generation: responsibility without borders' opened today in Baku. The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
Speaking at the forum, the Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov spoke about the state youth policy in the republic. He pointed to the important steps being taken to support the development of youth, health care, the effective provision of education and leisure for young people. "President Ilham Aliyev always pays special attention to youth, the solution of its problems," the minister said. In this regard, he noted the state program titled 'Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021', approved by the decree of the head of state.
Azad Rahimov said that his ministry is cooperating with 65 countries. "This year we organized an international laboratory for the training of talents among adolescents for the first time," he said. The minister also recalled that Azerbaijan was represented by a large delegation at the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi.
