Bus accident kills 3, seriously injures 11 in SE France
Three people were killed and 11 others seriously injured in a bus accident late Saturday in a southeast French city, Trend reported citing the French channel BFMTV.
The bus was carrying 31 people, including 18 minors, BFMTV said, adding that 17 people on the bus sustained slight injuries in the accident.
The three killed were all adults, namely a couple and the driver, whose identities are still being verified, said BFMTV.
The accident occurred a few kilometers away from the southeast city of Valence, when the bus, carrying fans of a rugby team, overturned on the trip home after a rugby match.
An initial investigation indicates that a "tire problem" may have caused the vehicle to lose its balance, the AFP cited a judicial source as saying.
