Cartoonists from all over the world gather in Georgia
The International Cartoonist Festival kicked off in a high-altitude village of Bahmaro, Chokhatauro district, the local media report.
Beginners and venerable artists from 46 countries presented more than 80 works at the festival.
The exhibition of drawings is held in the Art Cafe Bakhmaro. The organizer of the festival is the well-known cartoonist Besik Dugashvili. "A caricature is not just a drawing, it depicts individuals, events with such a degree of truthfulness that one can not say aloud," he said, speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival.
