Dashnaktsutyun not to nominate candidate for post of prime minister
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun party will not nominate a candidate for the post of prime minister of Armenia, head of the party’s faction in the parliament Armen Rustamyan said.
According to him, nomination of a candidate would be illogical given the fact that the party has only seven seats in the parliament (out of 105).
"Our party has long stated that nomination of a candidate for the post of the head of government is a meaningless exercise," the head of the party’s faction in the parliament said. According to him, the signing of the memorandum to that end is not considered an end in itself.
"We are in favor of parliamentary elections being held in normal conditions, as the people decide," ARKA cited Rustamyan as saying.
