EU officially extends 'Crimean' sanctions on Russia

The European Union officially extended economic sanctions against Crimea and Sevastopol by one year, according to the European Council's statement released today.

The European Union’s Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) has approved without a discussion the extension of restrictions against Crimea for 12 months over the peninsula’s reunification with Russia on June 12. The European Council has also approved it without a discussion, TASS reported.
