Erdogan on purchase of S-400s: no backward steps
Ankara will not go back on the purchase of S-400 missile systems from Moscow no matter what Washington says, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with broadcaster TGRT Haber.
"There will be no backward steps on the S-400 issue," Sputnik cited the Turkish leader as saying.
Erdogan noted that as for the Patriot missile systems, if the U.S. offers acceptable conditions, Turkey is open for them too.
His remarks came a few weeks after he rejected the Pentagon's ultimatum on Ankara's purchase of the S-400s.
