First prize of Sochi's Bashmet Competition won by two composers
The jury has named the winners of the second competition for young composers, held in the framework of the Yuri Bashmet Winter Arts Festival in Sochi. The first prize was shared between a student of the State Music and Pedagogical Institute, Ekaterina Buzovkina, and a teacher at the Moscow Conservatory, Nikita Mndoyants, the organizing committee of the festival reported.
The results of voting of the jury for the second prize turned out to be unexpected. It was also divided between two parties – Anton Prischepa and George Stevenson. The Competition Diploma will be taken away from Sochi by Pyotr Tuchkov, TASS reports.
