Georgian parliament backs resolution on Georgia’s foreign policy
The Georgian parliament has unanimously backed the draft of the resolution on Georgia’s foreign policy with 91 votes. None of the MPs were against the bill. The draft was prepared by the Georgian Dream parliamentary faction, Interpress news agency reported.
According to the approved bill strengthening Georgia’s sovereignty, de-occupation and restoration of territorial integrity in a peaceful way are the main priorities of Georgia’s external policy.
Georgia’s integration to NATO and EU is the priority without any alternative. The United States of America is the main strategic partner and ally.
The resolution puts an emphasis on necessity of Georgia’s participation in multilateral international formats and military operations underway for strengthening international security.
