Ilham Aliyev receives letter of gratitude from North Caucasus
Members of the Supreme Religious Council of Caucasian People: the chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, chairman of the Supreme Religious Council of Caucasian People Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, the chairman of the Coordination Council of North Caucasus Muslims, Mufti of Karachay-Cherkessia Ismail Berdiev, Mufti of the Chechen Republic Salakh Mezhiyev, Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan Ahmad Abdulayev, Mufti of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic Khazretali Dzasezhev, Mufti of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Khadzhimurad Gatsalov, Mufti of the Republic of Kalmykia Sultanahmet Karalaev, Mufti of the Republic of Adygea and Krasnodar Territory Askarbi Kardanov, Mufti of the Stavropol Territory Muhammad Rakhimov send a letter of gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
"We highly appreciate the great attention that you paid to the appeal of the Supreme Religious Council of Caucasian People members, the importance you attach to national and spiritual values, protection and care for human, religious and spiritual heritage not only in Azerbaijan, but also in many parts of the world. And it is an honor for us to convey to Your Excellency the universal appreciation of the believers in the region," the religious leaders of the Caucasus emphasized.
The high level of state-religious relations in Azerbaijan, the traditions of multiculturalism and national, religious tolerance are cited as an example of wise policies not only in the Caucasus region, but throughout the world. The basis of this policy was laid by the spiritual leader of Caucasian People, Heydar Aliyev, and it successfully continues through Ilham Aliyev's efforts, the authors of the appeal noted.
"The Mukhtarov Mosque, which was given new life thanks to you, is an excellent symbol of Vladikavkaz, a unique pearl of Eastern architecture, a symbol of spiritual unity, a monument to friendship between nations, the main place of worship for Muslims of North Ossetia, and a good example of great humanism and patronage of President Ilham Aliyev," the letter says.
"We, the religious leaders of the Caucasus, feel overwhelmingly proud because we are promoting such universal values as interreligious dialogue and multiculturalism, to which you always attach particular importance. Cultural and spiritual temples, which are built and restored in different parts of the world thanks to the support of Your Excellency and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva is a valuable contribution to the human heritage," the authors of the letter emphasized.
The authors of the letter also wished the President of Azerbaijan and his family long life, health and success.
