Iran's Vice President: we interested in opening new flights to Azerbaijan
Iran is interested in opening direct flights to Baku, Ganja and Nakhchivan, Iran's Vice President and Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization Chief, Zahra Ahmadipour, said at a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev.
Ahmadipour expressed hope that the two countries would get closer to each other culturally with the Azerbaijan Culture Week which is to be held in Iran.
She also affirmed that this occasion would be an advantage for the neighboring countries to benefit in long term from the shared cultural capacities.
“The more the cultural bonds between the two countries, the less political rivalry would arise between them,” IRNA cited her as saying.
The Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism heading a delegation of artists and cultural figures of the Republic arrived in Tehran on July 2.
