Juncker: we should mend ties with Russia
The European Union is willing to mend ties with Russia, despite frictions over a number of controversial issues, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said.
Speaking with the Romanian newspaper Adevarul, Juncker admitted the bloc’s relations with Moscow were marred by mistrust but added they had not been entirely severed and needed to be repaired.
"I think we can do that," Sputnik cited the chief of EU’s executive body as saying.
He stressed that channels of communication between Moscow and Brussels should remain open because the world needs more cooperation and not confrontation.
