Kim Jong-un tells how long Pyongyang can withstand sanctions
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that there are no obstacles that his country cannot overcome even if the enemies sanction the country for ten or 100 years.
In his first public activity this year after his New Year speech, Kim said that his country has the foundation of a self-supporting economy and has fostered scientific and technological capabilities.
He added that North Korean scientists are making great contributions to the country's economic development and improving the people's lives under difficult conditions, KBS World Radio reported.
According to the North's official Korean Central News Agency, Kim made the remark on Friday during his inspection of the National Academy of Science.
