Kremlin: U.S. midterm elections to hardly change relations with Russia
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not see any improvement trend in the U.S.-Russia relations. He also said that the U.S. midterm elections will hardly clarify the possibility of bringing it back to normal.
"We believe there is no need to delude ourselves hoping that it will somehow clarify things. As of now, there is no improvement trend to be seen," TASS cited Peskov as saying.
The midterm elections in the US are taking place on November 6. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 out of the 100 seats in the Senate are up for grabs. In addition, 36 states and three territories are holding gubernatorial elections. A number of state and local officials will also be elected on the same day.
