Larijani: Washington does not fight terrorism, but flirts with it
The US strategy is to flirt with terrorism, not to fight it, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said.
"There are countries like the United States and other regional countries that say that they are fighting terrorism," he said, speaking at the meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments in Seoul . "But it is now clear that they support terrorism in various ways. The US is flirting with terrorism, not fighting it," the speaker of the Iranian parliament said.
Larijani said that the meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments could help secure the sustainability and economic development of the countries.
“The heads of the Asian parliaments and part of Europe are pursuing cooperation to develop and resolve the regional issues,” the Mehr News Agency cited him as saying.
He added that given the conditions that exist in the international arena, such institutions and organizations that can be expanded and go beyond the continent, can contribute to sustainable security issues in the region and the development of economic relations of countries.
