Lavrov holds meeting with Syrian ambassador
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with Syria’s Ambassador to Moscow Riad Haddad, during which, the sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation with Damascus, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a report.
During the meeting that came after the ceremony of appointing Alexander Yefimov as a new Ambassador to Syria, the two sides discussed means of enhancing ties between the two states.
Lavrov hoped that a fruitful cooperation would be held between Yefimov and the Syrian state institutions in the interests of both countries, SANA reported.
Ambassador Haddad, for his part, described bilateral relations as “strategic and unlimited. He added that the Syrian government will cooperate with Yefimov to boost those relations in all domains.
