Lokomotiv Moscow loses chance for UEFA Champions League playoff
Russia’s Lokomotiv Moscow lost 1:4 to Portugal’s Porto on Tuesday night during the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
The goals for Porto were scored by Hector Herrera (2’), Moussa Marega (42’), Jesus Corona (67’) and Otavio (93’). Jefferson Farfan netted the ball for Lokomotiv on the 59th minute.
It was Lokomotiv’s fourth Champions League defeat in a row, after being beaten by Turkey’s Galatasaray (0:3, away), Germany’s Schalke (0:1, at home) and Porto (1:3, at home). With zero points, the Russian team lost all hopes for the Champions League playoff after Schalke’s victory over Galatasaray (2:0), TASS reported.
