Matviyenko: we can combat terrorism only together
The fight against terrorism demands a new level of international efforts, the Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said.
According to her, "this is a real atrocity which cannot be justified." She noted that the Russian people, who are familiar with terrorism by more than hearsay, have taken the tragedy close to heart.
Matviyenko stressed that "terrorism is becoming global." "Not a single continent, not a single country can feel safe. This is a challenge to civilization, to the human right to life," TASS cited her as saying.
The Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council pointed out that "Europe, the United States and the entire world should realize that a firm and decisive confrontation with terrorism requires a new level of international efforts."
