Militants detained in Almaty on suspicion of plotting terrorism
A group of foreigners originating from Central Asian countries was detained in Almaty on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks, the press service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported.
It was reported that weapons, ammunition and components for making high-power improvised explosive devices were seized from the suspects during the personal search of their temporary residence.
The press service added that the detainees were acting in accordance with the orders given by the ISIS leaders. In particular, they planned to attack public places in Almaty using the explosives, AKIpress reported.
