Mixed pairs qualifications ends at European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship in Baku

The qualification performances of mixed pairs in the European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship ended in Baku. The Hungarian couple showed the best result - the judges rated their performance at 22.05 points.

The second place in qualifying competitions was won by  Russian couple Tatyana Konakova and Grigory Shikhaleev with 21.95 points, and the third - by gymnasts from Romania with 21.65 points.

Two mixed couples from Turkey (21.5 and 21.2 points), athletes from Bulgaria (21.15 points), another couple from Russia (Anton Shishigin and Maria Tereshina, 21.05 points) and representatives of Romania got to the final. (20.8 points).

The European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships is being held in Baku for the first time. During three-day championships, senior and junior gymnasts will compete in the programs of 'Individual Women', 'Individual Men', 'Mixed Pairs', 'Trios', 'Groups', as well as 'Aerobic Dance', 'Aerobic Step' (only seniors). In the team competition, the winners will be defined for the five best performances. The championships will bring together gymnasts from 22 countries. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 15 medal sets.
