Moscow holds first bicycle parade in 2017 despite biting frost

The first winter bicycle parade in 2017 will take place in Moscow on Sunday, despite biting frost, an official with the city transport department said, TASS reports.

About 5000 people will take part in the event, the official said.

"This is the second time when we hold a bicycle parade in winter to support the development of cycling infrastructure and road safety. This will be the first public event in the new season. It will be attended by guests from St. Petersburg, Tula, Petrozavodsk, Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia and CIS countries," the official said.
