Netanyahu: Golan is Israeli, won't allow Iran to have military bases in Syria
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned UN Chief Antonio Guterres that Israel is not ready to tolerate Iranian military bases in Syria at the Munich Security Conference, i24NEWS reports.
“If they build their bases in Syria, we will act against that,” said Netanyahu.
Netanyahu also insisted that the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel in 1967 alongside the West Bank, Gaza and the Sinai, should be considered Israeli territory.
"The Golan Heights will remain in the hands of Israel forever," he said.
