Peter Buravytskiy: AGF does everything necessary for gymnasts and coaches at this European Championship
Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation provides perfect conditions for gymnasts and coaches, British junior gymnast Peter Buravytskiy said, speaking with Vestnik Kavkaza after performing in the trampoline qualification on the sidelines of the European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline.
"First of all, the tournament organization is great here. They meet us on time and make sure that we are comfortable here. I mean we work with very good people here, and the organization of this championship compares favourably with others. Everything is nice and comfortable for gymnasts and coaches here," he stressed.
Peter Buravytskiy also thanked the Baku fans for their support. "I really liked the local atmosphere. It's really cool when the audience supports every gymnast - it gives you motivation and preforming becomes more pleasant. In addition, the arena is very light and beautiful, I have only good impressions from today," the British gymnast admitted.
"It's my first time in Baku, I did not have enough time for walking, but the city seems to be very beautiful and clean, and the people are nice here. I really want to get to know Baku more closely, it would be great to take a walk after the tournament," Peter Buravytskiy concluded.
The 26th European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline has opened in Baku today. More than 400 gymnasts from 25 countries are expected to join the Championships. In the first two days of the competitions, qualifications for all types of events both among junior and senior gymnasts as well as finals among teams will be held, on the last day, medalists will be known in all four types of the gymnastics events.
