Putin promises Kyrgyzstan help in EEU integration
Russia will be giving support to Kyrgyzstan to adapt to the EEU with the help of the mechanisms created for making the accession process soft, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev in Bishkek.
"We know how hard the negotiations on accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Union were, how emotional and tough the president was in protecting the interests of Kyrgyzstan," he said
Putin added that he was glad for an opportunity to meet for discussion of plans that were formed during past meetings.
Kyrgyz President, for his part, said he is convinced that the decision to join the Union was absolutely right despite all the criticism, AKIpress reported.
