Putin to attend CSTO summit in Kazakhstan and meet Nazarbayev
Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and a session of the Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum in Kazakhstan on November 8-9, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow Putin will work in Astana and Petropavlovsk in Kazakhstan," TASS cited the spokesman as saying.
"There will be a CSTO summit and a separate meeting with [Kazakhstani] President [Nursultan] Nazarbayev, followed by a plenary session of the Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum," Peskov noted, adding that this forum "is a long-standing format which proved effective and showed that regional representatives are greatly interested in it."
On Tuesday, Putin discussed the preparations for the CSTO summit with the constant members of the Russian Security Council.
