Real Madrid's Florentino Perez dedicates Champions League victory to Iraqi fans killed by Daesh
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dedicated the club's Champions League victory to the club's Iraqi fans killed in an ISIS massacre when at least 12 fans of FC Real were killed in the Iraqi city of Baquba while watching the final match of the Champions League.
Ramos' early goal and Ronaldo's decisive spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out handed Real Madrid their 11th Champions League title, a record for the most number of CL titles by any team.
In a report from the Mirror, Perez, talking to Spanish television, remembered the loss of the Iraqi fans and dedicated the victory to them, dnaindia.com informs.
"I would like to dedicate this cup to our fans in Iraq," said Perez.
Real Madrid had previously sent their condolences in the aftermath of the attack.
