Russia ratifies law on joint group of forces with Armenia
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on ratification of an agreement with Armenia on a joint group of forces. The announcement was posted on the official web portal of legal information.
The agreement, signed in Moscow on November 30, 2016, was ratified by Russia's State Duma on July 14 and by Federation Council on July 19, Interfax reported.
The document and its enclosure determine how a joint group of forces will be formed, deployed and used. It notes that the grouping is meant to provide military security in the Caucasus collective security region.
