Sergei Shoigu and Hulusi Akar discuss situation in Idlib
Russia's Defense minister Sergei Shoigu and Turkey's minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar have discussed further work on the Idlib demilitarized zone and the situation in Syria in Sochi.
"We had to invite you, because the situation in Syria requires our immediate decision and discussion of the urgent issues," TASS cited Shoigu as saying.
The Russian Defense minister noted that the dynamics they have gained after signing the documents on Idlib in Sochi needs to be maintained to tackle the remaining issues without losing momentum.
The previous meeting of Shoigu and Akar was held in Istanbul on October 27 and was likewise dedicated to the situation in Syria.
