Servicemen take part in snap checks in Chechnya

Two regiments of the 42nd motorized rifle division stationed in Chechnya took part in snap checks, the press service of the Southern Military District said.

"Over 2,000 servicemen marched to the assigned area surrounded by 'enemy' reconnaissance groups. They had to pass through areas contaminated with radiation," TASS cited the press service as saying.

Around 300 units of military equipment are used in the drills, including Mi-8AMTSh "Terminator" helicopters, T-72B3 tanks, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, Su-25SM fighter jets, Akatsiya self-propelled artillery systems, and Pantsir-1 missile systems
