Several gymnasts advance to finals in World Cup in Baku
Participants in tomorrow's World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling finals in Baku have been determined.
Representative of Russia Grigory Noskov (73.300 points), UK athletes Kallum Mulhall and Elliott Browne (69.700 points and 66.900 points, respectively) all have advanced to the finals.
Azerbaijan's Mikhail Malkin took the fourth place (66,8), also advancing to the finals.
Representatives of Uzbekistan Shavkatjon Jonibekov and Murodjon Isakov, as well as Kazakh athletes Zukhriddin Imamov and Rustam Yussupov were also qualifying for the finals, Trend reports
Among female gymnasts, UK’s athletes Lucie Colebeck and Yasmin Taite, French athletes Lea Callon and Isma Laanaya, South African athlete Bianca Zoonekynd, Portuguese gymnast Raquel Pinto and Russian gymnast Anna Korobeynikova advanced to the finals.
Colebeck ranked first with 68,000 points, Zoonekynd – second with 65,100 points and Callon – third with 64,700 points.
The new Olympic cycle’s first World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on February 18-19. 85 trampoline and tumbling gymnasts from 15 countries will take part in the competitions on the basis of the new Code of Points coming into force in 2017. The qualifications will take place on February 18, finals will be held on February 19.
