Stoltenberg: NATO to continue helping Georgia
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the leaders of NATO member states "are working to prepare for Georgia's membership
"It is ten years since the first meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission. We fully support Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Georgia will become a member of NATO. Allied leaders reaffirmed this yesterday. And we will continue to work with you to prepare for membership," Stoltenberg said.
Stoltenberg hailed Georgia's effort towards the integration into NATO. "We are impressed by the progress you are making on reforms," Interfax cited him as saying.
NATO Secretary General also thanked Georgia for its contribution to the NATO operation in Afghanistan.
