Syrian National Dialogue Congress to be attended by 1490 people
The Syrian National Dialogue Congress, which is expected to be held in Sochi, will be attended by 1490 people, source in one of the delegations said.
The Congress, which will become a site for discussing the presidential and parliamentary elections in Syria, as well as the country's new constitution, was expected to be held on November 18, but was postponed to 2018 as Turkey considered unacceptable the invitation for Democratic Union to participate in the event.
Ankara considers it a branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which continues armed confrontation with the Turkish authorities and which Turkey considers a terrorist organization.
According to a source, the congress expected to be held on January 29-30, RIA Novosti reported.
