Trump and May comments on Putin's new weapons
US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May agreed during a phone call that Russian President Vladimir Putin's claim that Russia had nuclear weapons that could evade US anti-missile defense systems was "irresponsible."
May and Trump also discussed how Syria and its Russian and Iranian sponsor should call for an immediate ceasefire across the war-torn Syria, Politico reported.
In addition, Trump and May in their call affirmed that their two countries "will hold Russia accountable for compelling the Assad regime to halt attacks against civilian areas and for granting access to humanitarian relief in East Ghouta."
During the 14th State of Nation Address to Federal Assembly Putin announced that Russia has nuclear weapons that could get around defense systems, in addition to underwater drones and intercontinental missiles.
