Trump's National Security Adviser arrives to Azerbaijan
Assistant to the US President for National Security Affairs John Bolton arrived to Azerbaijan. In Baku he was welcomed by the republic’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Underlining that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the relations with the U.S., Mammadyarov stressed that Azerbaijan closely cooperates with the U.S. in several fields, particularly as part of the fight against terrorism.
The Azerbaijani diplomat thanked the U.S. Government for its support to the projects implemented by the initiative of Azerbaijan.
Highlighting the necessity of further developing cooperation relations in different spheres between the two countries, Trump's advider said that the U.S.-Azerbaijani relations are of the strategic importance, Trend reported with reference to the republic's foreign ministry.
Bolton also reiterated that the contribution of Azerbaijan to the operations in Afghanistan as part of the fight against terrorism is highly appreciated.
