Turkey sells its hotels due to crisis
Turkey has begun to sell its hotels on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. More than 1300 hotels with a total value estimated at $10 billion are now for sale.
According to Zaman, Turkey's tourism industry is not experiencing the best of times. The sector is influenced by the economic downturn and the reduction in the number of tourists, as well as terrorist threats.
In addition, Russian sanctions don't contribute to the restoration of the tourism sector in Turkey, Interfax reports.
