Turkish Airlines jet makes emergency landing in Iran
Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Vietnam was forced to make an emergency landing in Iran’s southeastern city of Zahedan Saturday due to an in-flight medical emergency, a local official said, Tasnim agency reports.
The Airbus A330-300 landed at Zahedan Airport at 7:35 a.m. local time after one of the passengers fell ill, Hassan A’rabi, director of airports of Sistan and Baluchestan Province said.
Medical personnel at the airport met the flight upon landing and took the patient to the hospital, he added.
The flight has remained at the airport with people on board, the official noted.
