Turkish FM condemns deadly terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Sunday condemned deadly terrorist attacks that targeted churches and hotels across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, killing at least 138, Yeni Safak reported.

At least 138 people were killed in multiple explosions targeting churches and hotels across Sri Lanka on Sunday, local media reported.Six explosions that targeted three churches and three hotels amid Easter Sunday ceremony also injured 402 others, said the state-run Daily News.

The report said the churches in Kochchikade, Negombo and Batticaloa cities as well as Kingsbury, Cinnamon Grand and Shangri La hotels in capital Colombo were hit by bomb attacks.Meanwhile, special police forces have been deployed at the Bandaranaike International Airport in the capital following the explosions.No groups have yet to claim the attacks.
