Two infants in Wuhan tested positive for coronavirus
An infant in China's Wuhan has tested positive for the coronavirus just 30 hours after birth, the city’s children’s hospital said.
In total, two infants were infected with the virus, the youngest just 30 hours old, the other one was born on January 12.
"The mother of the newborn was a confirmed patient of the coronavirus. At present, the infant’s vital signs are stable," South China Morning Post reported.
Senior physician at the hospital’s neonatal department Zeng Lingkong said the case was a signal that "we should be concerned about the possible new transmission route of the coronavirus."
