Vienna to host meeting on Iranian nuclear program today
The meeting on the Iranian nuclear program will be held in Vienna today, the official representative of the UN Secretary General, Stephane Dujarric, said, without specifying exactly who will take part in the consultations.
"Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Vienna, Austria on Saturday for consultations with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif," US Department of State spokesperson Mark Toner said on Friday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif departed Tehran for Vienna this morning. He plans to address the meeting jointly with the European Union High Representative Federica Mogherini on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Agence France-Presse reports.
According to a diplomatic source, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will issue its final report on the implementation of Tehran's obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for a comprehensive settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue.
