Yerevan and Tehran to expand security cooperation
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the Armenian Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan discussed cooperation in the security field, the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry said.
The sides noted that regional peace and stability is a key condition for sustainable development of the region.
“We hope the relations lead to more stability and security in the region,” Zarif underlined.
Vigen Sargsyan also met with the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani to discuss priorities of the Armenian-Iranian relations, the issues of further development of cooperation and the establishment of peace and stability in the region, Sputnik Armenia reports.
