Zakharova: East Ghouta to start returning to normal life soon
Eastern Ghouta will start to returning to normal life soon, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said in an interview with Russia’s Channel 5, TASS reports.
"There have been evident improvements, recorded by the United Nations and humanitarian organizations. The process of evacuating civilians and liberating the city is under way. After a little while, Eastern Ghouta will follow the example of Aleppo, where <…> about 100,000-200,000 people have already returned to their homes. Although it is less than the city’s pre-war population, it clearly demonstrates that the life is returning back to normal," she said.
