Gabala to host third international music festival

Gabala will host the third international music festival on July 15 -
August 5. It will include the second international piano contest,
Trend reports.


Musicians will arive from Russia, UK, Israel, the USA, Norway,
Netherlands, Italy, France and Germany. Yuri Bashmet and the Novaya
Rossiya Symphony Orchestra, Boris Berezovsky, Sergey Krylov, Anna
Samuil, Sergey Leyferkus, Oksana Yablonskaya, Dmitry Yablonsky,
Massimiliano Pisapia and others will attend.


The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The
organizating committee will be chaired by the Azerbaijani Minister of
Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, his deputy Adalyat Veliyev. The
Head of the Baku Music Academy, Farhad Badalbeyli, will be the art
director, the head of the arts section Farakh Aliyev and director of
the Azerbaijani State Philarmony Murad Adygezalzade will be members of
the committee.


The Heydar Aliyev Fund organized two international music festivals in 2009-2010.

The Institute of Linguistics of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will develop a new grammar of the Azerbaijani language with the participation of the most prominent linguists, the Institute Head, Fakhraddin Veyselli, said on May 8, azernews.az reports. The spoken language of the intelligentsia will be taken as the new basis.
